Canelo Alvarez is a Mexican native that currently holds the Super Middleweight champion title. He holds the WBA and WBC Super Middleweight belts as well as The Ring and he has done so much in his sixteen years of professional boxing. He currently stands at 168 pounds, having bumped up from his 160 pounds which brought him from Middleweight to Super Middleweight.
In the 58 fights, he’s been in he has won 55 of them, two have been draws, and then one loss against Floyd Mayweather Jr. This fight cost him his WBC Middleweight title in 2013. The past eight years though have been near-complete wins aside from a single draw.
Out of the 55 wins, 37 of those have been knockouts which is certainly impressive. He has made himself into a truly fierce competitor and has made waves in both the Mexican and American markets. He won his most recent match in February of 2021 against Avni Yildirim and is gearing up to go up against Billy Joe Saunders on May 8th.
